Bonnies snap LeMoyne's 15 game win streak
April 29, 2003 SYRACUSE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure defeated LeMoyne 7-4 at Dick Rockwell Field to snap the Dolphins school record 15 game win streak and pick up their 20th win of the year in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader. LeMoyne took the opener 14-2. The Bonnies broke a 2-2 tie in the second inning of game two on senior third baseman Josh Paine's single which plated junior center fielder Matt Landahl, who led off the inning with a double. The Bonnies added two more runs on freshman left fielder Dan Bratys' double down the left field line. The Bonnies added two more insurance runs in the fourth inning. Sophomore Mike McCormack started and went five innings striking out three while yielding three runs to go to 5-1 on the year. The Bonnies could only muster two hits in the opener falling 14-2. Junior shortstop Eric Wilson connected for his fifth home run of the year in the seventh. Senior John Brewer took the loss in the opener dropping to 2-1. With the split the Bonnies move to 20-15-1, while LeMoyne goes to 23-11. The Bonnies return to action with a single game at Niagara starting at 3:00 on Thursday.
